Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for everything within the 4 walls of the restaurant.
  2. Completes all opening and/or closing procedures including daily pre-shifts with the team, focused on hospitality, products, cleanliness, and safety.
  3. Coaches to ensure that Oregano’s policies and procedures are being upheld; provides daily feedback to all managers to ensure continued growth and development.
  4. Ensures that all food items and products are stored, prepared, and served based on recipe, preparation, and portion standards.
  5. Adheres to state and local food safety guidelines and codes.
  6. Oversees equipment maintenance, exterior and interior appearance of restaurant, and repairs.
  7. Manages daily line checks, prep lists, par sheets, pull thaws, cleaning schedule, and HACCP Logs.
  8. Ensures proper purchasing and receiving systems are in place to achieve Oregano’s standards.
  9. Manages Guest satisfaction by following up on any Guest complaints.
  10. Establishes staffing pars and manages interview and hiring process using Applicant Tracking System.
  11. Conducts manager and team member reviews and one-on-ones in a timely manner; develops individual development plans for management team via weekly manager meetings.
  12. Achieves labor targets, budgeted sales, and controllable profit budgets.
  13. Documents and reports Guest and Team Member incidents and/or accidents that take place during shift.
  14. Acts as a role model and Oregano’s Ambassador, performing all duties and responsibilities according to the written General Standards of Conduct and Guidelines and Responsibilities in the Oregano's Team Member Handbook.

Requirements:

  • Must successfully pass a background check (credit, driving, and criminal).
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License (issued by working state) and have use of a properly maintained, licensed, and street-legal vehicle.
  • Excellent interpersonal and Guest service skills.
  • Must be computer literate; be informed regarding Windows and Microsoft Office based management reporting, Aloha, Table Management, OLO, and Compeat Radar.
  • Proficiency communicating (speaking, reading, and writing) in English.
  • Must be able to handle the pressures of simultaneously coordinating a wide range of activities and recommend appropriate solutions to restaurant problems.
  • Flexibility to work 50-hour workweek (comprised of varied shifts, including weekends and holidays); time away from work is approved and taken in accordance with established policies.

Education and Experience:

  • Valid state accredited management food safety and alcohol compliance certifications; proof of food and alcohol certifications must be provided to the Restaurant Support Center prior to the completion of Management Training.
  • Must complete Oregano’s Manager in Training (MIT) Program and make continued progress toward completion within assigned timeframe.
  • 2-3 years of casual dining General Manager experience preferred.
  • Ability to withstand temperatures equal to or less than 0ºF and equal to or greater than 100ºF.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking (for up to 12 hours).
  • Must be able to lift, balance, and carry up to 50 pounds for distances of up to 50 feet.
  • Manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination.
  • Ability to hear Team Members and Guests in a loud work environment.
